Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has once again attacked the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh, accusing Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of making false claims about women’s safety. Speaking on the recent incident in Meerut, where a mother was attacked and her daughter was reportedly kidnapped, Yadav alleged that law and order in the state has completely collapsed.
In a statement released on Friday, the SP national president said that under the BJP government, crime, corruption, and insecurity among women are at their peak. He added that despite repeated claims of “zero tolerance on crime,” the ground reality tells a different story. “Women and girls are no longer safe in Uttar Pradesh, and the chief minister’s promises have turned out to be hollow slogans,” he remarked.
Akhilesh further claimed that the public has lost faith in the state administration. “The people of Uttar Pradesh will show the mirror to this government in 2027 and remove them from power,” he asserted. He accused the BJP of using women-centric schemes only for publicity while failing to ensure protection at the ground level.
The SP leader also took a dig at police functioning, saying officers spend more time suppressing opposition voices than controlling criminals. “If the government truly believed in women’s safety, the Meerut incident would have never happened. But the ruling party is instead focused on image management,” he said.
Meanwhile, SP’s state president Shyam Lal Pal submitted a memorandum to Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa demanding transparency in voter lists. He has requested that Booth Level Agents (BLAs) be provided with notices of un-mapped voters during the special revision process. He also complained about irregularities in the Noida Assembly constituency, where several unauthorized booths were allegedly created.
As Uttar Pradesh heads towards another heated election phase in 2027, Akhilesh Yadav’s renewed attack signals SP’s attempt to re-energize its base by highlighting law and order failures, especially those affecting women’s safety — a politically sensitive issue for the ruling BJP.

लखनऊ। समाजवादी पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष अखिलेश यादव ने योगी आदित्यनाथ सरकार पर कानून व्यवस्था और महिला सुरक्षा को लेकर बड़ा हमला बोला है। उन्होंने कहा कि भाजपा सरकार में अपराध चरम पर है और महिलाएं बिल्कुल भी सुरक्षित नहीं हैं। मेरठ की घटना, जिसमें एक मां पर हमला कर उसकी बेटी का अपहरण किया गया, इस बात का सबूत है कि प्रदेश में कानून व्यवस्था पूरी तरह ध्वस्त हो चुकी है।
शुक्रवार को जारी अपने बयान में अखिलेश यादव ने कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ केवल “महिला सुरक्षा” का नारा दे रहे हैं, जबकि जमीन पर सच्चाई इसके बिल्कुल उलट है। उन्होंने कहा, “महिलाओं की सुरक्षा के झूठे दावे करने वाले मुख्यमंत्री को प्रदेश की जनता 2027 के चुनाव में सत्ता से बाहर का रास्ता दिखाएगी। भाजपा की नीतियां अब लोगों के भरोसे से बहुत दूर हो गई हैं।”
सपा प्रमुख ने कहा कि भाजपा सरकार अपराध रोकने में नाकाम रही है। पुलिस प्रशासन जनता की समस्याओं पर ध्यान देने के बजाय विपक्षी आवाजें दबाने में जुटा है। उन्होंने कहा कि मेरठ की घटना ने एक बार फिर साबित किया है कि कानून व्यवस्था पूरी तरह बिगड़ चुकी है।
अखिलेश यादव ने कहा कि सरकार केवल विज्ञापनों और कागज़ी योजनाओं तक सीमित है। बेटी बचाओ, बेटी पढ़ाओ जैसे नारों का दिखावा हो रहा है, जबकि जमीनी स्तर पर महिलाओं की सुरक्षा पर कोई ठोस कार्रवाई नहीं होती। उन्होंने कहा, “महिलाओं को न्याय तभी मिलेगा जब सरकार सत्ता से जाएगी।”THE HINDU
इसी बीच, सपा प्रदेश अध्यक्ष श्याम लाल पाल ने मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी नवदीप रिणवा को ज्ञापन सौंपा है, जिसमें मांग की गई है कि विशेष पुनरीक्षण के दौरान बीएलए (Booth Level Agents) को नो-मैपिंग वोटरों के नोटिस बूथवार उपलब्ध कराए जाएं। इसके अलावा नोएडा विधानसभा क्षेत्र में बूथों की अनियमितताओं की जांच की भी मांग की गई है।
सपा का यह हमला स्पष्ट करता है कि पार्टी आने वाले चुनाव को लेकर भाजपा सरकार पर हमलावर रणनीति अपना रही है। कानून व्यवस्था और महिला सुरक्षा जैसे संवेदनशील मुद्दे सपा के लिए जनसमर्थन जुटाने का बड़ा हथियार बनते दिख रहे हैं।
