Saharanpur: In a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves across Western UP, a 30-year-old woman named Manita allegedly fed poison to her two young children and consumed it herself, ending all three lives. The heartbreaking tragedy unfolded in Baliya Khedi village under Janakpuri police station after years of alleged torture by her in-laws.
According to police, Manita, a resident of Mohduddinpur, had married Neetu Kumar from Baliya Khedi about 9 years ago. The couple had two children — 6-year-old daughter Nit’ya and 4-year-old son Kartikeya. On Thursday morning, Manita had a heated argument with her husband Neetu, father-in-law Atr Singh, elder brother-in-law Arvind, and sister-in-law Komal. Enraged, she took the children and went to her maternal home.
Around 7 PM, Manita returned to Baliya Khedi. By 8 PM, villagers found her and the children unconscious near Gogaji Mahari shrine outside the village. They were rushed to Raj Hospital in critical condition. Tragically, Manita died first, followed by Nit’ya shortly after, and Kartikeya two hours later.
Manita’s brother Jasvir lodged a complaint accusing the in-laws of systematic harassment and physical abuse. “My sister was tortured continuously. They beat her repeatedly,” he told police. SP City Vyom Bindal confirmed that a case has been registered against Neetu Kumar, Atr Singh, Arvind, and Komal under relevant sections. Investigation is underway.
Gram Pradhan Sandeep Kumar revealed that neighbors heard Nit’ya weakly saying, “Mommy gave us poison” before losing consciousness. The family had noticed Manita’s distress but couldn’t intervene in time.
This tragic incident highlights the growing menace of domestic violence and in-law torture in rural UP, where women often face relentless pressure. सहारनपुर। जनकपुरी थाना क्षेत्र के बलियाखेड़ी गांव में एक दिल दहला देने वाली घटना ने पूरे क्षेत्र को स्तब्ध कर दिया। मोहद्दीनपुर की रहने वाली 30 वर्षीय मनीता ने ससुराल वालों के कथित उत्पीड़न से तंग आकर अपने दो मासूम बच्चों को जहर खिला दिया और खुद भी जहर पी लिया। तीनों की राज हॉस्पिटल में उपचार के दौरान दर्दनाक मौत हो गई।
पुलिस के अनुसार, मनीता की करीब नौ साल पहले बलियाखेड़ी के नीटू कुमार से शादी हुई थी। उनके दो बच्चे थे — 6 वर्षीय बेटी नित्या और 4 वर्षीय बेटा कार्तिकेय। गुरुवार सुबह मनीता का अपने पति नीटू, ससुर अतर सिंह, जेठ अरविंद और जेठानी कोमल से जमकर विवाद हो गया। गुस्से में वह दोनों बच्चों को लेकर मायके चली गई।
शाम करीब सात बजे मनीता मायके से लौटी। रात आठ बजे ग्रामीणों को गांव के बाहर गोगाजी मढ़ी के पास मां-बच्चों को बेहोश अवस्था में मिला। आनन-फानन में तीनों को अस्पताल ले जाया गया। वहां पहले मनीता की मौत हो गई, फिर कुछ देर बाद बेटी नित्या और करीब दो घंटे बाद बेटे कार्तिकेय ने दम तोड़ दिया।
मृतका के भाई जसवीर ने तहरीर देकर बताया कि ससुराल वाले लगातार बहू को तंग करते थे। कई बार मारपीट भी की गई। एसपी सिटी व्योम बिंदल ने पुष्टि की कि नीटू कुमार, अतर सिंह, अरविंद और कोमल के खिलाफ मुकदमा दर्ज कर लिया गया है। जांच जारी है।
ग्राम प्रधान संदीप कुमार ने बताया कि बेहोशी में नित्या ने कमजोर आवाज में कहा था, “मम्मी ने जहर दे दिया।” पड़ोसियों ने मनीता की परेशानी देखी थी लेकिन समय रहते रोक नहीं पाए।punjabkesari
