Police had taken Rakhhi to Fatehpur CHC around 10 AM for medical checks after recovering her four days earlier. Accompanied by Sub-Inspector Vijaypal and woman constable Preeti in a private Swift car, she was about to be escorted to court for statement recording post-medical. As SI Vijaypal helped her into the car around 2:30 PM, brothers Monty and Ravi arrived on a bike, ambushing the vehicle. Monty fired three shots from a pistol at point-blank range through the car window, with one bullet striking Rakhhi’s head, causing severe bleeding. The attackers fled after a brief scuffle with police, who recovered empty cartridges from the scene. The entire event was captured on CCTV.

SSP Abhinandan confirmed the incident, stating, “Teams have been formed to arrest the accused brothers. Rakhhi’s condition is extremely critical.” SP Rural Sagar Jain added, “The brothers were furious over Rakhhi eloping; one accused, Monty, reportedly surrendered at Fatehpur police station, though unconfirmed. सहारनपुर जिले के फतेहपुर क्षेत्र में सोमवार 23 मार्च 2026 को एक दिल दहला देने वाली घटना ने पूरे इलाके को हिलाकर रख दिया। रामखेड़ी गांव की 25 वर्षीय युवती राखी को उसके सगे भाइयों ने पुलिस अभिरक्षा में गोली मार दी। फतेहपुर सीएचसी पर मेडिकल कराने के दौरान यह वारदात हुई, जिसमें सिर में गोली लगने से राखी गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गई। उसे मेडिग्राम अस्पताल ले जाया गया, फिर हालत बिगड़ने पर ऋषिकेश एम्स रेफर कर दिया गया।
घटना का पूरा विवरण
सुबह करीब 10 बजे अज्ञात लोगों ने राखी को फतेहपुर थाने के बाहर छोड़ दिया था। पुलिस ने उसके बयान दर्ज कराने को कहा। दोपहर में एसआई विजयपाल और महिला सिपाही प्रीति के साथ प्राइवेट स्विफ्ट कार से मेडिकल के लिए सीएचसी ले जाया गया। मेडिकल के बाद कोर्ट ले जाने की तैयारी हो रही थी। ढाई बजे जैसे ही राखी कार में बैठी, बाइक पर सवार भाई मोंटी और रवि पहुंचे। मोंटी ने पिस्टल सटाकर तीन गोलियां चला दीं, जिनमें से एक सिर में लगी। हमलावर पुलिस से भिड़ते हुए फरार हो गए। घटना सीसीटीवी में कैद हो गई और खोखे बरामद हुए। भाइयों ने दो घंटे से घात लगाकर इंतजार किया था।
पुलिस अधिकारियों के बयान
एसएसपी अभिनंदन ने कहा, “बहन को उसके भाइयों ने गोली मारी है। उसकी हालत बेहद गंभीर है। आरोपितों को पकड़ने के लिए टीमें गठित कर दी गई हैं।” एसपी देहात सागर जैन ने बताया, “16 मार्च को राखी लवकुश और गोविंद के साथ भाग गई थी। नाराज भाइयों ने बदला लिया। मोंटी ने थाने में आत्मसमर्पण की चर्चा है, लेकिन पुष्टि नहीं। रवि, लवकुश और गोविंद की तलाश जारी है।”
