Ghaziabad: In a major crackdown, Ghaziabad Rural SWAT team and Muradnagar Police arrested five members of a fake Liv-52 tablet racket supplying counterfeit Himalaya Wellness medicine to medical stores across Aligarh, Mathura, Bijnor, Agra, Meerut, and Shamli. Police recovered 50,000 fake tablets worth lakhs, along with packaging materials.
DCP Rural Surendra Nath Tiwari revealed Mukesh Kumar of Muradnagar, through his NP Trading firm, manufactured fake Liv-52 tablets at Sonipat’s Subko Laboratories using fake GST numbers, forged drug licenses, and counterfeit documents. These tablets, sold 20% cheaper, were poisoning liver patients instead of curing them.
Raids yielded 500 Liv-52 wrapper sheets, 1200 green caps, 1200 white plastic containers, and 10 transparent polythene packets containing 50,000 fake tablets. In four months, the gang sold 70,000 tablets across six districts via courier from Muradnagar.
Himalaya Company representatives alerted police after spotting fakes in Aligarh stores. Courier agents revealed shipments under “Jani Trading” name. SWAT team tracked the supply chain to Muradnagar.
The scam endangered thousands of liver patients relying on genuine Liv-52 for hepatitis, fatty liver treatment. Fake tablets contained unknown chemicals, posing severe health risks. Medical store owners face investigation for distributing adulterated drugs.

गाजियाबाद। लिवर रोगों की जानी-मानी दवा लिव-52 के नाम पर 50 हज़ार नकली टैबलेट तैयार कर 6 जिलों में मेडिकल स्टोरों पर बेचने वाले गिरोह का पर्दाफाश। ग्रामीण SWAT टीम व मुरादनगर पुलिस ने 5 लोगों को गिरफ्तार कर 50,000 जाली टैबलेट, पैकेजिंग सामग्री बरामद की।
डीसीपी ग्रामीण सुरेंद्र नाथ तिवारी ने बताया मुरादनगर के मुकेश कुमार ने एनपी ट्रेडिंग के नाम से सोनीपत की सुबको लेबोरेट्री में फर्जी जीएसटी नंबर, नकली औषधि लाइसेंस बनवाकर हिमालय वेलनेस ब्रांड की नकली लिव-52 बनवाई। 20% सस्ते दामों पर अलीगढ़, मथुरा, बिजनौर, आगरा, मेरठ, शामली के मेडिकल स्टोरों पर बिकी। 4 माह में 70 हज़ार टैबलेट खपाई गईं।
पुलिस को 500 रैपर शीट, 1200 हरे ढक्कन, 1200 सफेद डिब्बे, 10 पॉलीथिन पैकेट में 50,000 नकली टैबलेट बरामद हुए। मुरादनगर से कोरियर भेजे जाते थे। हिमालय कंपनी को अलीगढ़ में जाली दवा दिखी तो सूचना दी। कोरियर ने “जानी ट्रेडिंग” का नाम बताया।
SWAT टीम ने सप्लाई चेन पकड़ी। लिवर सिरोसिस, फैटी लिवर के मरीजों को जहर परोस रही थीं ये गोलियां। अज्ञात केमिकल से भरी नकली दवा जानलेवा साबित हो रही। मेडिकल स्टोर संचालक भी जांच के दायरे में।
फूड एंड ड्रग एडमिनिस्ट्रेशन टैबलेट टेस्ट कर रही। सोनीपत लैब पर छापा। मुकेश कुमार व साथियों पर Drugs & Cosmetics Act 1940, IPC 420, 468 दर्ज। मुरादनगर थाना ने केस दर्ज किया।
